Notice is hereby given that the following Ordinance will be considered by the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, at its regular meeting to be held on July 15, 2024, in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 200 W. Hobbs Street, in the City of Athens, Alabama, at 4:30 p.m., and at such time and place, all persons who desire shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of the following proposed Ordinance. AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE +/- 2.4 ACRES (SEVEN POINTS VENTURES, INC.) LOCATED DIRECTLY WEST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 31 SOUTH AND APPROXIMATELY 940 FEET SOUTH OF ROY LONG ROAD EAST (PARCEL #S: 44-10-08-28-0-000-008.009, 44-10-08-28-0-000-009.000 AND A PORTION OF 44-10-08-28-0-000-008.007), FROM R-1-3 (HIGH DENSITY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) AND M-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO B-2 (GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT), WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ATHENS.
