NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS' ADVERTISEMENT FOR

Separate sealed BIDS for ASPHALT PLANT MIX LAIN IN PLACE will be received by the Limestone County Commission at the Washington Street Courthouse Annex, 310 W Washington St., Athens, AL 35611 until 10:00 a.m., Central Daylight Time, on September 10, 2026, at which time they will be opened and read aloud.
The CONTRACT Documents, consisting of Invitation for Bids (including specifications and construction requirements), BIDDER PROPOSAL, BID BOND, PERFORMANACE BOND, BOND PAYMENT, and AGREEMENT may be obtained from the offices of the Limestone County Commission at 310 W Washington St., Athens, AL 35611
Electronic copies are available for free of charge from the Limestone County Engineering Department by calling 256-233-6681.
A BID BOND or a Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the price bid, payable to Limestone County, must accompany each bid. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, 100 percent (100%) of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by Limestone County, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract.
Limestone County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding.
Attention is called to the CONTRACTOR'S ALABAMA LICENSE LAW, Chapter 8 of the Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended. Bidders must be licensed under the specialty classification of Highways and Streets.
