NOTICE OF HEARING


TO: Jan Clemons, Judy Singleton, Susan Arbor, Kim Sewell Brown, and Gene Carter, who are named in a Petition for Letters of Administration with Will Annexed in the above-styled matter as heirs at law and next of kin of Jerry V. Carter, a/k/a Jerry Virgil Carter, and who based upon their address in said Petition reside outside the State of Alabama

Please take notice that on May 6, 2026, Petitioner Anthony Lynn Moran, together with his attorney the Hon. James D. Moffatt, filed with this Court a Petition for Letters of Administration with Will Annexed. Also filed with this Court May 6, 2026, were a document purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Jerry V. Carter and a Renunciation of Right to Serve as Personal Representative executed by Roger Pitts.

Please also take notice that pursuant to an Order Scheduling Hearing and Appointing Guardian ad Litem entered by this Court on May 7, 2026, a hearing on said Petition for Letters of Administration with Will Annexed has been scheduled for July 15, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Probate Court Hearing Room located in the Clinton Street Courthouse Annex, 100 South Clinton Street, Suite D, Athens, Alabama 35611. You may appear at said hearing and in accordance with Alabama law may contest the same, if you see proper.
