NOTICE OF HEARING

TO: Any heirs at law and next of kin of Jerry Virgil Carter whose identities and whereabouts are unknown, including but not limited to the following: son, believed to be named Robin, and any other children of Jerry Carter, a deceased son of Cecil Carter, who is a deceased brother of Jerry Virgil Carter; and any children of Burley Glenn Carter, a deceased son of Lester Carter, who was a brother of Jerry Virgil Carter

Please take notice that on May 6, 2026, Petitioner Anthony Lynn Moran, together with his attorney the Hon. James D. Moffatt, filed with this Court a Petition for Letters of Administration with Will Annexed. Also filed with this Court May 6, 2026, were a document purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Jerry V. Carter and a Renunciation of Right to Serve as Personal Representative executed by Roger Pitts.

Please also take notice that pursuant to an Order Scheduling Hearing and Appointing Guardian ad Litem entered by this Court on May 7, 2026, a hearing on said Petition for Letters of Administration with Will Annexed has been scheduled for July 15, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Probate Court Hearing Room located in the Clinton Street Courthouse Annex, 100 South Clinton Street, Suite D, Athens, Alabama 35611. You may appear at said hearing and in accordance with Alabama law may contest the same, if you see proper.
