TO: Charlotte Y. Baker, Derry Baker, Victor Baker, Mark Baker, Tera Baker, and Miya Booker, who are named in a Petition for Probate of Will filed in the above-styled matter as some of the "Decedent's next of kin", and who based upon their address in said Petition reside outside the State of Alabama

Please take notice that on May 29, 2026, Petitioner Samuel D. Baker, together with his attorney, the Hon. Tanya D. Hendrix, filed with this Court a Petition for Probate of Will, a document purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Marchell Baker, and a Petition for Letters Testamentary. Also filed with this Court on May 29, 2026, was a Renunciation of Personal Representative executed by Ruby Pope.

Please also take notice that pursuant to an Order Scheduling Hearing entered by this Court on June 2, 2026, a hearing on the Petition for Probate of Will and on the Petition for Letters Testamentary, has been scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Probate Court Hearing Room located in the Clinton Street Courthouse Annex, 100 South Clinton Street, Suite D, Athens, Alabama 35611. You may appear at said hearing and in accordance with Alabama law may contest the same, if you see proper.
